Description

I have stopped at the Deep Creek Overlook in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park on many occasions but have never seen the color of the trees more beautiful than this day in late October of 2019. We started our drive from Townsend Tennessee over to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center on US-441 then on to the Deep Creek area of the Smoky Mountains in the morning when the views of the mountains were nice, but the lighting was a little harsh. On the way back to Townsend it was late in the day and with the trees beaming with vivid colors and the clouds having a soft glow about them I knew it was time to pull out my camera and start shooting this beautiful scene.
