This beautiful lake called “Hanging Lake” and the magical waterfalls that flow into the lake are located in Glenwood Canyon in Colorado. My daughter lives in Colorado and she is the one who told me and my wife about this magical treasure. We were blessed one weekend to travel with my daughter to Glenwood Canyon and experience the lake and falls. The trail head is located about 7 miles from Glenwood Springs and you have to ride a shuttle out of Glenwood Springs to get to the trailhead. To get to the lake you must hike up a trail that ascends around 1000 feet in elevation in about 1.2 miles. It’s a steep climb but you will stop many times along the way just to enjoy your surroundings along the trail and the final destination is so worth the hike. I could not put my camera down once I got to this magical place! If you are ever in the area, take the time to go to Hanging Lake and the Magical Waterfalls.
