Went into Cades Cove in early November and saw a Mama bear and her 3 cubs by a walnut tree eating the walnuts. They were in one of the fields where the horses come to in the afternoon after finishing taking people on horse rides. I was there at 10am and was surprise to all of a sudden see horses in the field, in the morning, and decide the people who handle the horses, at the stables, must have decide not to do horse rides this particular day as it was a little rainy. The first few horses that came by just moved out in the field to avoid the bears altogether, but as more horses came out to the field it seems that the horses decide they did not like the bears in "their" field so they came closer to the bears and two of the horses seem to lurch a little at the bears the Mama bear did a small bluff charge back at the horses. It was amazing to see them interacting with each other! As I was watching the horses and bears, I noticed the beautiful mountain in the background and knew it was tim...
