During the summer months the Smoky Mountain National Park closes the Cades Cove Loop to vehicles a few hours each Saturday and Wednesday mornings so people can walk and bike through the Cove. This particular summer day we took advantage of no vehicles in the Cove and set off on our bikes. When we got to one of the largest parking lots in the Cove it was just amazing to see it empty of any vehicles. I set up my camera and as the sun came up saw the magical way the sun lit up the green pasture as well as the fog & sky. Bonus was getting the road in my shot with no cars!! If your ever in Cades Cove in the summer ride your bike around the Cove if you can as it is a great experience!
