Artist's Description
While visiting Yellowstone National Park we stayed near the Northeast Entrance to the park and got to drive through the beautiful Lamar Valley each evening. This particular evening, as we got to the Lamar Valley a thunderstorm was just coming to an end. As the clouds began to clear the sun peeked out and lighted up the landscape with a peaceful warm glow. We pulled off the road and I began shooting the beautiful landscape before me. You can tell the scale of this scene by looking closely at the brown dots in the meadow – they are bison out enjoying the evening.
